Monument to Leonardo da Vinci at the Piazza della Scala (1872)

The route of this excursion runs through the most interesting places of the city, which are especially popular with travelers: Duomo Cathedral, the Royal Palace, Victor Emanuel Gallery, La Scala Opera House - the most famous in Italy - Torgovaya Ploshchad, the former residence of the Dukes of Milan - Sforza Castle, etc. .

2. Tour of Milan: In the footsteps of Leonardo da Vinci

The amazing genius of Leonardo da Vinci left many traces in Milan, but most travelers only know about the famous fresco of the Last Supper in the refectory of the Santa Maria delle Grazie monastery. As part of the tour, it is expected to visit her, but, in addition, you will find in Milan and others - less well-known works of the great master.

Leonardo da Vinci "Portrait of a Musician" at the Ambrosian Gallery (1490)

For example, few of Milan's guests are aware of yet another painting by Leonardo at Sforzesco Castle. Even less aware that in the popular Ambrosian Gallery, along with the masterpieces of Caravaggio, Raphael and Botticelli, the only painting by Leonardo da Vinci's “Portrait of a Musician” is also kept in Milan. And this is not all the traces of Leonardo that can be found in the city, but this excursion in Milan dedicated to them.

3. Excursion from Milan to Brescia: Wine Tasting

What a visit to Italy without Italian wine, and this excursion from Milan in Russian is designed to fill this gap. The trip is supposed to be for the whole day, and the tasting itself will take place near the capital of Lombardy - in Brescia - a town famous for its wine traditions.

What a visit to Italy without Italian wine

In addition to visiting the wine cellar with a tasting of drinks and snacks, the tour also includes an external examination of the Brescia Castle and the Pusterla vineyard, known as the largest in Europe from the inside of the perimeter of city fortification. In addition, travelers will enjoy exploring Brescia cuisine, which has its own dishes and specialties.

4. Excursion from Milan to Bergamo

Bergamo is known to our travelers much less than the one located in the neighborhood of Milan, and perhaps this is partly the fault of the latter. The Duomo of Milan and shopping dazzle tourists so much that they completely forget about everything. And, meanwhile, Bergamo belongs to those cities of northern Italy that are worth a visit.

Bergamo is located 50 km from Milan in the foothills of the Alps

Unlike the bustling and bustling Milan, Bergamo managed to maintain the charm of the ancient city. Its old part seems to have frozen in time, and the sights are able to tell a lot about the glorious and eventful history. The impressive fortified walls, the gates of St. Augustine, Piazza Vecchia, the church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Capella Colleone are far from a complete list of what is worth seeing here. And as part of this excursions from Milan You will learn a lot of the things that guidebooks often miss.

5. Excursion from Milan to Lake Como

Excursion from Milan Lake Como is considered one of the most saturated and interesting. The town of the same name is fascinating at first sight. He captivates with his calm and measured rhythm of life, which is a striking contrast with Milan. However, this external calm and the spirit of antiquity is only one of the sides of Como. The town is known for many secrets and legends, one of which says that it is here that the Grail is hidden.

Founded by Julius Caesar, Como has always attracted the powers that be: from Pliny the Elder to Gianni Versace. Here and today, you can accidentally stumble upon a celebrity right in the shop: many movie, music, politics and sports stars in the vicinity of Como have their own villas.

The length of Lake Como is 47 km, the width is up to 4 km, and the depth is about 410 m

Surely, you will recognize many of the local species. In addition to the fact that they are often present on various brochures, Como’s images often penetrate the cinema. So, as part of this excursion from Milan, travelers will definitely get to know Villa Balbianello, famous for filming some episodes of Star Wars.

Since the city of Como is located on the lake, you can take a boat trip along it. And for those who want to look at the surrounding beauty from a bird's eye view, there is the opportunity to use the funicular.

Finally, just a short drive from Como is the large Fox Town Outlet, and along with the most restless travelers you can even get to Switzerland, where you can visit the town of Lugano.
