Pleasant a walk in Riomaggiore should start with Via Colombo, right here on the main street of the town are famous restaurants, shops, souvenir shops and boutiques.

The chefs of the famous restaurants Il Particciolo, Da Billy and Marina Piccola delight guests of the town with classic Italian dishes, excellently prepared seafood and wonderful wines, the production technology of which winemakers have kept as the strictest secret for hundreds of years. Liquor "Sciacchetra" locally made this winemaking province of Italy is very popular with gourmets, it is produced simultaneously from different grape varieties, which gives the drink a unique bouquet.

During the invasion of the Saracens on the hill of Chericco, towering over Riomaggiore, the castle of the same name with the town of Castello di Riomaggiore was built.

This is a wonderful attraction of the Cinque Terre Park, it was laid by the Marquis of Turkotti in 1260, completed later, protective walls were erected here until the 16th century. Today the castle is a great tourist attraction, on excursions through which you can learn a lot about the history of the country.
